ABOUT US

St. Timothy Lutheran Church has a 25-year history of providing preschool to children of all faiths and backgrounds and in 2019 expanded to St. Timothy Preschool & Childcare offering year-round services to children ages 3 to 11 years of age.  Being the only childcare center in the City of Hudson, enrollment quickly doubled, licensure increased, and plans for future growth ensued.  On January 3, 2022, the Center opened a classroom that serves children from 18 months to 3 years of age.

Services include morning preschool, full and part-time childcare, before and after school and no school day care for school aged children, as well as a full summer program for children aged 18 months to 11 years of age.   Our early childhood curriculum is based on enriching the lives of young children through play and structured activities including vocabulary & phonics, arts & crafts, numbers & counting, physical development, music, games, and science (STEM).

St. Timothy Preschool & Childcare has established several collaborative relationships within the community.  During the school year, Hudson CSD provides daily transportation of children to and from the school. The Hudson Public librarian reads to the preschoolers and during the summer, on a weekly basis, the children participate in the Hudson Summer Library program.  Additionally, the center collaborates with the Hudson Parks and Rec summer Kids Adventure Program for field trips.

The mission of St. Timothy Preschool & Childcare is focused on providing a loving childcare in a family friendly environment that supports the growth of the whole child in developmentally appropriate ways. Its well-trained experienced staff believe that parents are a child's first teacher, and partner with parents, helping to raise children that have social-emotional skills as well as cognitive skills so that these children will be successful in both school and in life.
