Service Projects

Going beyond the four walls of the church is important to us and keeps us healthy in our giving and our outlook. At St. Tim's we've been very active.

For example:

  • Each year, we adopt a number of families at Thanksgiving and provide them with the fixins’ for a nice Thanksgiving day dinner.

  • We’ve recently collected 8 kits of kitchen and personal items for the Afghan refugees sponsored by Lutheran Services in Iowa.

  • We use God’s Global Barnyard boxes during Lent to raise money for world hunger.

  • We also work monthly at the NE Iowa food-bank, host a regular monthly food-bank collection and support the work of Growing Hope Globally, a local program with a global reach.

  • The annual "God's Work. Our Hands" projects see St. Timothy giving to the local community and to the larger church.

  • We make the chili for the Fall Chamber Appreciation Dinner that the Hudson Chamber sponsors for the community.

Yes, we're active here! Service to others is part of our DNA at St. Tim's.
