Confirmation

Confirmation at St. Tim's is a great time for faith exploration! Students in grades 6-8 gather weekly from late August through April to get grounded in the basics of faith. Using a variety of media and classroom techniques, students study the Old and New Testaments, Luther's Small Catechism, worship, prayer, the history of the Lutheran Church and Martin Luther. Parents come to class once a month with their confirmation student.

Students also engage in service learning, too, and they help lead worship, go on an occasional field trip and learn about the depth and breadth of the church.

At the end of their formal classroom time, students create a faith project that reflects one aspect of their faith and learning. Classes are taught by the pastor and the youth and family minister.   Kids are encouraged to ask questions!  Confirmation is their time to explore and learn about the incredible love God has for the whole universe.
